Bastille have announced details of a massive UK arena tour later this year, including a headline show at London’s O2 Arena. Get tickets and more information here.
The tour will kick off in Bournemouth on 28 October, before heading to Plymouth, Cardiff, London, Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and, finally, Newcastle.
The band are set to release their second album, Bad Blood, on 9 September. Speaking to Gigwise ahead of their Glastonbury slot last month, they explained, “We don't really have a sound, we don't give a fuck about genre. This isn't a hip-hop record that we've made, but one of the things we've taken from a lot of hip-hop music is the ability to jump around from song to song.”
They added, “The album is quite disorientating, new instruments and quotes jump in, it's like a mixtape - from string sections to horns. There's intimacy, then some mad sci-fi, we just wanted to have fun on this record and see what we could get away with.”
