Slipknot have been forced to postponed a number of their US tour dates with Marilyn Manson after frontman Corey Taylor shared an unmasked photo revealing that he's broken his neck - without even realising.
Fans were thrilled when the masked metallers revealed news that they'd be hitting the road with the 'God Of Fuck' Marilyn Manson, but now they'll have to wait a little longer to see them togehter.
He's known for his insane stage antics, but now Taylor has taken hardcore to the next level - after needing emergency surgery for 'breaking his neck a while back and not realising'.
He took to Twitter to say:
Basically broke my neck a while back & didn't realize it. Had 2 have disc replaced & work on vertebrae. Those 1st shows rescheduled for Aug.

He then issued a full statement on Facebook:
"Regretfully, I’m sending this to our fans to inform you that we will be postponing the first couple of weeks of our upcoming U.S tour. Unfortunately, I had to undergo an unplanned spinal surgery. I am recovering nicely, and all went well! I need a little recovery time before hitting the stage. We will start the summer tour in Nashville on 6/28 and continue as previously scheduled. An update on the rescheduled dates will be available in the next few days. I hope you all understand and thanks for always having my back!

Taylor released his third book You're Making Me Hate You: A Cantankerous Look At The Common Misconception That Humans Have Any Common Sense Left, in June last year.
Meanwhile, Taylor has denied that he is leaving the band after saying that 'he might distance himself from Slipknot' in the future, while the masked metallers are also gearing up to hit the road with Marilyn Manson.
Slipknot are also gearing up for a huge festival with Ozzy Osbourne later this month.
