A hacker has apologised after hacking into the late Beatles icon George Harrison's Twitter account, because he didn't know he was dead.

The weekend saw the likes of Tenacious D, Bring Me The Horizon, Tame Impala and more all have their accounts hacked for death and bomb threats to be posted.

Now, the latest sees Beatles turned solo hero George Harrison's account taken over. Run by The Beatles' estate, the bio section of Harrison's page has been hacked to read: "Hey George, follow @j5zlol when you see this and shoot me a DM. I’ll help you secure your accounts :) I don’t want to cause you any harm, bud".

At Gigwise's time of publishing, it still looked like this:

Jz5lol's Twitter account now appears suspended, but as The Daily Beast reports, he later Tweeted: "Well shit I hacked someone and I didn’t even know they was dead.. my bad,” adding that he was 'SORRY' from Harrison's own account and: “IVE BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK. MY BAD PPL.”

Meanwhile, George Harrison Tribute Week recently saw the likes of Brandon Flowers, Brian Wilson, Beck and his own Dhani perform beautiful covers in his memory.
