Sia’s latest video follows two kids escaping a dark an dingy train station, who’s faces are blank and covered, topped with their own Sia wigs.
Accompanied by railway markings and grafitti’d lyrics, the young children find the light at the end of the tunnel after finding each other. The emotive visuals see the kids escape the creepy station with the help of Sia’s motivational words and clues throughout the track.
The masked children are yet another way for emphasising Sia’s camera shy persona, as the video sees the young faces covered throughout.
It’s unsure whether Sia used her favourite dancer Maddie Ziegler, as the now 14-year-old doesn’t seem to fit the profile of the two young children in 'Never Give Up'.
Appearing on the Lion soundtrack, Sia’s 'Never Give Up' will accompany a film based on Saroo Brierley’s memoir, ‘A Long Way Home’.
The story follows a five-year-old Brierley after he falls asleep on a train and wakes in Calcutta, only to be adopted by an Australian couple. He tries to find his birth mother through Google Earth, after leaving his poverty-stricken life behind.
'Never Give Up' is Sia’s contribution to the ‘Lion’ film, starring Nicole Kidman and Dev Patel, out January 20 in the UK.
