Jesse Hughes, the Eagles of Death Metal frontman, has had a restraining order granted against him after being accused of making death threats towards a former friend, it has been reported.
A TMZ report states that Andrew Julian Vega has made accusations of Hughes threatening to shoot him. Hughes also allegedly "glued a voodoo doll on his gate", stabbed the doll, and left the message "Andy is next" on it.
According to the report, the friends dispute started "over a girl" and now Vega is worried that Hughes will hurt him or his daughter. Hughes has apparently been forced to stay at least 100 yards away from them both, after a restraining order has been granted by a judge.
Hughes has yet to respond to the TMZ report.
The singer was caught up in 2015's Bataclan terrorist attack in Paris, where he was playing a show with Eagles of Death Metal as terrorists stormed the venue killing 120 people
Comments made by Hughes following the attacks caused some controversy. He claimed more people should have guns to protect themselves, before claiming that security staff at Bataclan may have known the attacks would happen. Hughes has since apologised for the comments, and said he was in turmoil and stress after the incident.
It has been said that Hughes could be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. He previously stated he was "dealing with non-stop nightmares" and hadn't been himself since November 13, 2015.
After that he was reportedly turned away from Le Bataclan when trying to enter the Sting convert - the first gig after the massacre. The security thought his comments were "grave and defamatory" for the Sting concert although Hughes' management team deny this.and say they never even tried to enter the venue and told Billboard Hughes is in "Paris to share in remembering the tragic events of a year ago with his friends, family and fans."
