Brian Jonestown Massacre continue their irrepressible creativity with their 16th studio album announced less than three months from the last one.

The Third World Pyramid was well received by critics but ill-content to dwell Anton Newcombe and co are back with more new music. To mark the release of Get Up for 24 February 24 via A Recordings, the band have shared a track called 'Fact 67' that features none other than The Charlatans singer Tim Burgess.

The six and half minute track is driven by a warm groovy bass line with Shadows-esque reverb-laden guitar giving an escapist desert-y feel. Meanwhile delay-laden tremolo picking over the top adds intensity to this very brilliant song.

Burgess' vocals take a back seat for a lot of the song but where they come in they defintely suit the feel and you can see why Newcombe would have felt Burgess a good fit for the tune.

Burgess and Newcombe's creative partnership has been going strong fo ra while now and their collaborations include a Newcombe remix of The Doors of Then - I Am Yours, I Am You bfor Burgess' solo album, Oh No I Love You More.

We spoke with Burgess shortly after the release of that and here's what he had to say about working with the psych rock legend:

"Working with Anton is always a pleasure. He has definitely mellowed since Dig - he's lost none of his passion but he deals with things differently. I stopped by his studio in Berlin to record a song with him and he's done some brilliant remixes for us.

"He is genuinely one of the most talented musicians there is and we've always said that a few Charlatans & Brian Jonestown Massacre dates would be cool, we just need to work out when and where. Dig was a moment in time and I'm not sure anyone could carry on doing it how they were. I saw them a few times on their last tour and spent some time with them - they are like completely different people. Maybe except Joel, he always just been the coolest man in the room."
