Katy Perry has released a new reggae-inspired single 'Chained To The Rhythm' - a collaboration with Bob Marley's grandson Skip Marley. Stream the track below now.

The new single fuses disco and reggae stylings, with 80s keys backed by a steady bouncing beat and hand claps. Following licks of slick, clean guitar, Perry delivers the ultra-catchy chorus of ""Turn it up, it's your favorite song/Dance, dance, dance to the distortion/Come on, turn it up, keep it on repeat/Stumbling around like a wasted zombie/Yeah, we think we're free Drink, this one is on me,".

Other lyrics include " "We’re stumbling, we’re crumbling, and we’re about to riot . They woke up, they woke up the lions."

The track - which is the first taste of Perry's upcoming new record - was co-written with Australian hit machine Sia, Max Martin, Ali Payami and Skip Marley.

It's likely Perry will give the new track its first live airing at the Grammys next week. It was announced earlier in the week that the popstar will perform live at the ceremony this weekend, joining the likes of Adele, Metallica, The Weeknd and Daft Punk.

Perry gave the world the first glimpse of new material when she uploaded in-studio footage to Instagram back in December. Her last album Prism was released in 2013 and featured the mega-hit 'Roar'.
