Will Joseph Cook plays one half of a pair of on-the-run robbers in a new video for ‘Beach (I Wanna Make You Mine)’, the latest single from his forthcoming debut album ‘Sweet Dreamer’, which lands on April 14.
The rising indie-pop star, who has racked up 17 million online streams, has also announced a tour in May to coincide with the album, including his biggest headline show to date at London’s Heaven on May 11.
In the video, shot entirely in a static car in front of a screen and referencing such classic crime films as , True Romance and Natural Born Killers, Cook and his lover rob a store and go on the run, ending up in a police shoot out and driving off a cliff holding hands.
The single is a re-recording of a track that the Tunbridge Wells singer released in 2015, which received 3.5 million views online. It is set to appear on the 13-track album, produced by Hugh Worskett and Bombay Bicycle Club’s Jack Steadman.
