Paolo Nutini is going to be doing a lot of bus talk as he has been charged with drink-driving after being pulled over by police in Scotland.

The 'New Shoes' singer was driving through his hometown of Paisley when a test allegedly revealed he had more alcohol in his system than is legally allowed.

According to the Daily Record, he was stopped by police around 8-9pm on Tuesday (21 January)

A spokeswoman for the police has said “We can confirm that a 30-year-old man was arrested in Paisley on Tuesday in connection with alleged road traffic offences. A full report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”

A friend told the above Scottish newspaper that he was accused of being over the drink-drive limit. A spokesman for the star said: 'I have no comment to make'.

In happier Paolo Nutini news the talented vocalist is on a Mexican and South American tour in April.
