You’d have thought that at the age of 44, Liam Gallagher would’ve been flattered to have been asked to show his ID. But no. The former Oasis singer has expressed his anger about being asked to prove himself when trying to buy cigarettes in New York.
The ‘Rock’n’Roll Star’ singer had arrived in New York in an apparently good mood when he arrived there last Thursday (July 27) and tweeted:
R u chooning in NEW YORK as you were LG x

So far so good. Liam was then moved to post about the fragrance of the city: “That was old skool last night NYC you smelt fantastic looking forward to the Rough trade gig tmorrow night as you were LG x”
Alas, Liam’s good mood took a sudden noisedive southward when he was asked to produce an ID when attempting to buy a packet of cigarettes. He – ahem – fumed: “I’ve just been told I can't buy cigs unless I got ID im 4FUKIN4 has the world gone mad”
Then, as if in defiance of the health risks posed by smoking, Liam elected to run off his frustrations with a jog around Central Park.
He tweeted: “There's nothing like a good burn round Central Park 1st thing in the morning as you were brothers n sisters LG x”
We hope that’s calmed him down. We suggest he heads on over to Tom’s Diner for a nice bowl. He can get a roll with it.
