The hills are alive with the sound of flourishing guitar bands this morning as This Feeling today (23 July) exclusively reveal their 2019 Alive Tour, in association with Scotts and Red Stripe, line-up here on Gigwise.

Previous years have included line-ups boasting the likes of stadium touring Bang Bang Romeo and The Libertines-approved Trampolene and BlackWaters, and this year’s line-up offers yet another astute insight into who the This Feeling team think are going to be making waves over the coming months.

Heading up the announcement are Birmingham breeze-rock four-piece Sugarthief. Speaking about the opportunity the band say, “When you first start out as a band, you realise how difficult it can be to play decent gigs outside of your local area, This Feeling have given us a bunch of great opportunities to do just that, including some pretty wild weekends at festivals…when we get to Birmingham we’ll have to show the other bands a big old Brum night out!”

Joining them are The Estevans. Hailing from Guildford, we recently premiered their track ‘Gotta Know You’ which we called, “a rushing nostalgic romp with jangly guitars aplenty, drawing on the soundscape of mid-noughties indie.” In an equally-excited manner they say, “This Feeling have been crucial to our band over the past year; the exposure, the opportunities and all the Red Stripes have given us as well as countless other bands a platform and a chance to make something of themselves; we can’t thank them enough. To be picked for the Alive Tour this year is pretty humbling as there are so many fucking great bands on This Feeling!”

Playing alongside them are the Brighton-based Hourglvss. After a triumphant set on the This Feeling stage at Isle of Wight Festival earlier this summer, the band are just as thrilled to be heading out on the road later this year. “This Feeling have been a source of us finding out about new music over the years, it's amazing to now be a part of this tour!”

Last, but by no means least, The Kicklips will also be on the bill, promising to thrash through their fast-paced rock ’n’ roll gems that draw inspiration from both the 60s and the 90s Britpop era. “The Alive Tour is an insane opportunity for us. The support from This Feeling is and always has been fantastic - it’s like a family, and we’re honoured to be a part of it.”
