The Isle of Wight Festival have rolled out names for next year's event. As originally planned for this year's cancelled edition, Lionel Richie and Lewis Capaldi will headline the Friday evening, while Snow Patrol will take the Saturday and Duran Duran will make a rare appearance on the Sunday night.

Bizarrely, Jess Glynne will also appear on the main stage, despite claims from festival organiser John Giddings that she would never return again following a controversial last-minute cancellation in 2019.

He didn't mention it in the announcement, though..."we should be watching some fantastic performances in a field together this weekend, but sadly it was not to be. We’re thrilled that we will welcome most of the artists booked for 2020, plus a few special additions, to next year’s festival" he said instead.

"The Isle of Wight and Jess Glynne have unfinished business" the singer commented.

New additions to the bill include Carly Rae Jepsen, Mavis Staples and The Script.

Isle of Wight Festival takes place 17-20 June 2021. Tickets go on sale 15 June at 9am.
