Up-and-coming singer and producer Alewya has just released her monumental collaboration with drummer and production pioneer Moses Boyd on the track ‘The Code’. It’s a dark track which takes the best elements from various genres and combines them into something altogether new. Alewya described the song as capturing “an intense dark night of the soul”. Led by pounding drums, ‘The Code’ grows stronger and stronger until it breaks down in a fierce guitar solo.

The pair had no real plan when they started recording together, but it became apparent that there was a song waiting to be made. The music chemistry between these two artists is impressive, and ‘The Code’ came to them effortlessly, according to Boyd:

"My favourite moments in the studio are those when the flow is seamless and doesn't need to be explained. We made 'The Code' within minutes of jamming together and it was just that, seamless. I knew we would have great musical chemistry and it's been refreshing to work with someone as open, brave and inquisitive as Alewya. I know she has so much more great music to come."
