Long live the seaside and its resorts! A brand new festival will be taking place next year at Southport's seaside: Sound Sounds will feature The Sherlocks, Bob Vylan, Big Joanie, Dream Wife and more.

Taking place at the beginning of April (1-4 April), Sound Sounds will make us of Southport's Pontins holiday park complex. Yep, that means it's less about the mud-caked tents and all about the apartments. 

Other bands on the line-up include Steve Lamacq, Lottery Winners, Lauran Hibberd,Egyptian Blue, Bilk, Coach Party and Lime Garden.

Tickets start from £99 and include entry to the festival, 3 nights in an apartment as well as pool parties, BMX track, arcades, football pitches and fun fair rides.

Sound Sounds takes place 1-4 April 2022 in Southport. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (29 September) for those signed up to this Skiddle reminder. General sale starts on 1 October here.
