Having done with her exams for the summer, 17 year-old Cathy Jain is finally gifting us with new music...and news of more to come. 'gaslight', which released today, is her first cut in a while. It'll feature on an EP titled spacegirl, which is out in October on YALA!.

Following 'UFO', which will also appear on spacegirl, Cathy continues to explore wavy sounds that bend and warp. Slower and even psychier, today's 'gaslight' has tones of Superorganism in its synthesised soundscape. 

Cathy said of the song: “It’s about crushing on someone and then acting extremely weird in the whole situation, although in the song it’s unclear who the one with the crush is (that’s for the listener to decide!)"

We love Cathy's music so much that we had her in Issue 3 of Gigwise Magazine. In a Hello Tomorrow feature (now also online), she told us: “I’ve always been serious about my education, but I’ve always had my passion for music [too]". Now it's summer, it's time for her to focus on the latter again!
