Who appears on new album artwork…
Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has been talking about the artwork for the band’s comeback album, ‘Zeitgeist,’ which features pictures of Paris Hilton.
As well as the inside sleeve of ‘Zeitgeist,’ the heiress also features on the cover of the band’s first single from the album, ‘Tarantula.’
Speaking to MTV in America, Corgan said that it was him that took the pictures of Hilton.
He said: “The original idea was we were gonna see if Lindsay (Lohan), Britney (Spears) and Paris would all shoot..(but) Paris I knew personally and hung out with her a few times, and so I asked her...and God bless her, she came, she showed up at 10am on a Sunday morning, sat in the chair, got made up and (I) shot her."
Meanwhile, the Smashing Pumpkins will return to the UK in August for a headlining appearance at the Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals – which run over the bank holiday weekend (August 24th-26th).
