Following in the footsteps of Lou Reed, Paul Weller is the latest musician to shower Amy Winehouse with superlatives.
In fact, despite her recent drink and drugs problem the Modfather still believes that she’s a “great role model.” The mind boggles about what the Daily Mail would have to say about that.
In the interview with Radio One, Weller said: I've been lucky enough to work with her - she is an amazing, great talent and, despite what all the papers say, she is a great role model for people and I don't think the drugs and the drink and all that make a scrap of difference really.
“I think you should judge people on their talent and on that level she's up there, a major talent."
Amy Winehouse performed with Weller at the Electric Proms last year for a rendition of the Marvin Gaye classic ‘I Heard It Through The Grapevine.’ The pair have also performed together on Later With Jools Holland.
