Former Moloko frontwoman Roisin Murphy is recovering after an horrific accident onstage in Moscow.
The singer was performing at the Ikra Club in the Russian capital when she hit her head on a chair and severely damaged her eye socket.
She was quickly rushed to a Russian hospital for emergency treatment before being whisked back to the UK for a further operation yesterday evening to repair damage to her eye socket and eyebrow.
Fortunately, despite the macabre nature of the incident and losing a lot of blood, her sight has not been impaired in any way.
Understandably, all of Murphy’s European dates in at least the next seven days have been postponed while she recuperates. She will await doctors orders on when it is best to return to the stage.
