Actress and singer Scarlett Johansson, has teamed up with Este Haim to form a new 'super pop' group called The Singles.
In the past Johansson has had a number of musical projects including her magical 2008 album of Tom Waits covers, Anywhere I Lay My Head and her 2009 Pete Yorn collaboration, Break Up.
The band also includes Holly Miranda, Kendra Morris, and Julia Haltigan and their playful electro new single 'Candy' is produced by TV On The Radio's Dave Sitek, who has worked with Scarlett in the past.

"The idea was to write super-pop dance music written and performed by girls," Johansson explained in a press release. "I love Grimes. And I love the Bangles. And I love the Go-Go's. I wanted it to be like those bands: ultra pop but also a little ironic, a little in on the joke."
