Lorde's producer Joel Little has revealed they aim to hit the studio "within the next month".
Despite releasing her world-conquering debut back in 2013, the teen sensation has still had one hell of a year - pulling together a brilliant roster to curate the Hunger Games soundtrack in 2014. But, it seems she's had little rest - planning to record new material in March.
"That's the plan, basically," Little told Australian radio station Triple J. "We're just going to start writing some songs. We haven't got some planned out 'this is what it's going to sound like'... I think we're just going to start writing and when it starts to feel right, we'll know that it's right. It's pretty simple really."

Meanwhile Lorde has remained particularly aloof regarding the follow-up to 2013's Pure Heroine, telling the Golden Globes: "For me I have to kind of write a project lyrically before I attack it musically. So I've written a lot of amazing stuff and I'm just tentatively starting to make it music."
When asked for a release she responded: "I have no timeline. I really don't care."
Don't hold your breath for a 2015 release date, people.
