Eighties icon Adam Ant has expressed a desire in collaborating with the Kaiser Chiefs.
The singer, who is planning to make a comeback with a new album, said he thought the Leeds band were “great”.
“They’ve got it just right. They have a good pop sensibility. I’d record with them in a flash, if they’d have me, that is,” he told the Sun newspaper.
Ant, who was honoured with the Q Icon honour at the Q Awards in London on Monday, is said to have made a positive start to sessions for a new album.
A source told the newspaper that he was “back on track” and described the new material as “really strong”.
