Australian collective The Temper Trap are now one member short after guitarist Lorenzo Sillitto announced his departure from the band.

Sillitto had been with the 'Sweet Disposition' hitmakers since they formed in 2005, and revealed in a statement that he had quit the band to pursue other ventures.

"I leave the band with a heavy heart but it was time for me to try new things..." said Sillitto in a statement to fans. "(it has been) an amazing journey, an experience I will never forget and one that changed my life."

The Temper Trap scored international success in 2009 with their 'Sweet Disposition' single, which reached No.9 in the UK charts. They have released two studio albums, Conditions in 2009 and most recently, their self-titled 2012 release.
