Arctic Monkeys prepared for their forthcoming T In The Park headline slot with an AM heavy set at Lisbon's Optimus Alive festival last night (10 July.)
The band played a 20-song, hour and a half set ahead of their appearance at the Scottish festival this weekend. The set drew mostly from the band's latest, incredibly successful AM album, but also featured old favourites such as 'Fluorescent Adolescent', 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' and 'Dancing Shoes'.
Apart from the occasional "obrigado" (Portugese for thank you), Turner kept the audience interaction to a minimum. Unsurprisingly, he failed to mention the recent news that he was one of the musicians involved in a huge tax avoidance scheme.
The band also performed a cover of Black Sabbath's 'War Pigs' during 'Arabella', which has become somewhat customary during the band's live shows.
Arctic Monkeys headline T In The Park this Sunday (13 July), which takes place in Kinross-shire.
Arctic Monkeys played:
'Do I Wanna Know?'
'Snap Out Of It'
