Ed Sheeran is celebrating his third week at the top of the charts with new album, X, beating off competition from nearest rivals Manic Street Preachers.
Manics' 12th album Futurology was selling well after huge acclaim from fans and critics, as well as a storming set of UK dates and glorious performances at both Glastonbury and T In The Park.
However, Sheeran's X (which is pronounced ‘multiply’) is on an unstoppable chart-topping sales run - having sold over 327,000 copies in the UK since it s release last month.
Taking to Twitter to celebrate being the highest new entry, Wire posted:
Massive thanks from us to everyone who bought futurology-who wrote about it-who tweeted-who screamed+who saw it live-xxxxxx
