You know those perfect songs that soundtrack your summer of late nights, romance and hedonism? Well, HEYROCCO have just dropped one - check out the Gigwise premiere of their new song 'Melt' below.
The trio of Nate Merli (vocals and guitar), Christopher Cool (bass and yes, that’s his real name), and Taco Cooper (drums) have been together for five years after starting out in their parents' garages. Since then, they've only got louder, while maintaining that infectious youthful exuberance.
Famed for their carefree image and explosive live shows, HEYROCCO have been compared to everyone from The Cure, Nada Surf, and Mudhoney but spiked with an experimental blend of Broken Social Scene meets On A Friday. There's a spot of early Weezer in their sound too, but don't be misled into thinking they sound like anyone else - they're all of your favourite bands rolled into one, and are about to become huge.
