Liam Gallagher is the latest musician to take part in the ALS ice bucket challenge, and has nominated his brother, "cartoon character" Noel Gallagher.
The viral campaign has been met with a predictably mixed reaction, but it has raised $31.5 million in donations for the ALS Association, which is 16 times the amount they received last year over the same period. ALS stands for Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and is also known as motor neurone disease.
In his video, Gallagher says: ""I accept this challenge and nominate Spongebob Squarepants, Ivor the Engine, and while we're on cartoon characters, Noel Gallagher." He's then, as is custom, drenched with ice-cold water.

Oasis split up back in 2009 after 18 years together, and since then brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher have remained famously distant, with Liam claiming that the two "don't really have a relationship."
