Reading Festival day two has kicked off, with unexpected glorious sunshine bathing the site for early sets from Gnarwolves, Pulled Apart By Horses and Dry The River today (Saturday 23 August).
Despite a spot of mild rain yesterday, the weather has been very kind at Reading festival, with spirits high this morning for an opening set on the main stage from Brighton punk heroes Gnarwolves, rocking a decent-sized crowd of their dedicated fans well into the early afternoon.
Pulled Apart By Horses then followed suit, waking up the bleary-eyed masses with a burst of hard rock. At the time of publishing, Dry The Rivwe were charming the pants off those who gathered for their early afternoon set of summery but melancholy power-folk.
Meanwhile, Branham Park at Leeds Festival sees yesterday's Reading line-up, with Vampire Weekend, Metronomy, Brody Dalle, Jame T and more heading up north - with Paramore switching to play last as they co-headline with Queens Of The Stone Age.
Today, Reading will see performances by headliners Arctic Monkeys, as well as Jake Bugg, Nero, Bombay Bicycle Club, Chvrches, Imagine Dragons, Peace and many more.
