"We've been active about next year's line-up for the last three months, really since just before Glastonbury this year, and we continue to be active," Melvin Benn told Gigwise at the festival last year year. "It's our passion in a way for the line-up, it's the same as the kids have. That is the nature of what we do. We spend all of our time talking about it."
When we asked him if any acts booked were headliners, he replied: "There's one booked, there's one booked at least. We're just waiting for them to decide which nights they want to play Reading and which night they want to play Leeds. One's done, the other two will follow."
As for clues, Melvin told us: "It's definitely not a Reading regular. It's not who you think it might be."
Reading Festival takes place at Little Johns Farm on Richfield Avenue, while Leeds Festival takes place at Branham Park - both during the Bank Holiday weekend of 28-30 August. For tickets and more information on Reading Festival visit here, and for Leeds visit here.
