American hip-hop artist El-P has slammed Robin Thicke for his recent actions in the Marvin Gaye lawsuit, saying Thicke "really threw Pharrell under the fuckin bus."
Thicke is currently embroiled in a legal case regarding whether Blurred Lines plagiarises Marvin Gaye's 'Got To Give It Up'. As revealed by the Hollywood Reporter, Thicke's deposition in April saw him shift responsiblility for the track from the original three writers - Thicke, Pharrell Williams and TI - to claim Williams was solely responsible.
"I was high on Vicodin and alcohol when I showed up at the studio," Thicke said. "I wanted to be more involved than I actually was by the time, nine months later, it became a huge hit and I wanted credit." He also absolved himself of any authorship: "[The] reality is, is that Pharrell had the beat and he wrote almost every single part of the song."
Now El-P, who was originally a member of Company Flow and formed the hip-hip duo Run The Jewels with Killer Mike last year, has slammed Thicke for this deposition.

The musicians also suggested an idea for a new t-shirt slogan: "Thicke is a snitch." Expect it in shops this Christmas.
