Photos of fallen music legend Phil Spector from his recent years in prison have emerged, and it's not a pretty sight.
The music producer, famed for his big hair, 'wall of sound' approach and helping to shape classic records by the likes of The Beatles, Ike & Tina Turner, John Lennon, The Ramones and Leonard Cohen, was jailed for 19 years in 2009 after being found guilty for the murder of singer Lana Clarkson.
Now, The Smoking Gun has shared photos of Spector. The above photo was taken on 28 October, 2013.
California Department of Corrections spokesperson Terry Thornton confirmed that it was taken when Spector was moved to the prison system's California Heath Care Facility in Stockton - where medical and mental care is provided to the state's sickest inmates. Due to privacy regulations, the nature of Spector's illness could not be revealed.
