Former Sugababes star Mutya Buena has been ordered to file for bankruptcy by a High Court Judge due to failing to pay a tax bill.
The singer, who enjoyed four UK number ones when she was a part of the original line-up of the girl-group, allegedly owed her company, God Made Me Funky around £22,500 and the organisation only registered a profit of £902, in early 2013.
Mutya’s reps however have recently told The Sun, that she is blaming the bankruptcy on a mere "administrative error."

The singer is reportedly continuing to write and record with her band MKS (Mutya, Keisha, Siobhan), comprising of the original Sugababes. Following their comeback, the group released the Dev Hynes produced single ‘Flatline’ which failed to make an impact on the UK Top 40.
Bandmate Keisha Buchanan spoke of the issue, tweeting:
I'm actually crackin up at the way our single "Flatline" (1 of the sickest most credible songs of 2013) is used as a reason 4 everything 😂😂😩

You can't get rich off a top 10 or Top 5 & you can go broke from a top 50 😂😂 so let's stop trying to dramatise everything lol
