An independent venue in Connecticut has made an appeal to Foo Fighters to save them from closure.
The Room in Brookfield is asking the band to play a show there next week, with the aim of raising public awareness of the venue and ultimately saving it.
Venue owner Vern Nickerson made the appeal in an open letter published on the venue's website, pleading to the band: "You could do for the Room what The Ramones and Blondie did for CBGB’s or What Mötley Crüe or Alice Cooper did for the Wiskey. Come because you remember what it was like to be 15 and in a band trying to find a decent gig. Because along the way there have been people who’ve given you a chance."
He continues: "Come because your first band had a home at some local club, Or because it didn’t, and you wish a place like ours had been in your scene."
Despite seeming somewhat unlikely, The Foos making the journey to Connecticut wouldn't be completely out of the question, with the band recently performing a show in Virginia after a hugely successful crowdfunding campaign, and the group's fondness of small venues after a recent string of club dates in the UK.

Foo Fighters will release their eighth album Sonic Highways on 10 November, with a documentary on the making of the record airing on the BBC later this month.
In the build up to the album's release, Foo Fighters will also play for five consecutive nights next week on The Late Show With David Letterman, promising special guests throughout the week.
