Charli XCX has recorded Japanese language versions of both 'Boom Clap' and 'Break The Rules' - and they actually sounds pretty great.
'Break The Rules' in particular takes on an intriguing and immensely listenable quality. It also benefits from eschewing such lyrics as, "Going to the discotheque / Getting high and getting wrecked / I don't wanna go to school / I just wanna break the rule." Well, they're probably still in there, we just don't have to comprehend them.

The songs have been recorded as bonus tracks for the Japanese release of Sucker. If you've ever wondered why Japan gets treated to such an enormous amount of bonus tracks, it's because it's cheaper for Japanese music fans to import CDs than it is to buy them in their local record stores. The bonus tracks provide a much-needed incentive to shop locally.
The UK version of Sucker is due for release on 16 February, after months of delays.
