Meow The Jewels, the remix album comprised only of cat noises has surpassed its fundraising target with ease. It's happening, people.
The reconfiguring of free release Run The Jewels 2, started as a comedic suggestion from the rap duo, relating to funding. Things quickly spiralled out of control with a Kickstarter campaign set up and now the £24,500 ($45,100) target has been met, with more than 12 days to go until the deadline.
Producers who've said they'd like to contribute to the album include Zola Jesus, Baauer, Geoff Barrow of Portishead, Boots and Dan The Automator, who were all tweeted by El-P following the news.
RTJ2, the second full length from El-P and Killer Mike is due for release 27 October and features collaborations with Zach De La Rocha and Travis Barker.
