New York's CMJ Music festival has seen a show cancelled, reportedly following an Ebola scare.
The city has had its first confirmed case of the disease in the form of Dr. Craig Spencer, who was confirmed to be infected on Thursday (23 October). The previous evening he had travelled from Harlem to Brooklyn where he attended a bowling alley and music venue rumoured to be The Brooklyn Bowl or The Gutter.
The Brooklyn Bowl remained open last night, tweeting "We are aware of the reports that an individual who may possibly be infected with Ebola attended an event in Williamsburg last night... Brooklyn Bowl has not been contacted by authorities and has no further information."
The Gutter on the otherhand was closed due to unforeseen circumstances, cancelling its CMJ showcase show, hosted by Goodnight Records. Heaven, Big Sleep, Friend Roulette and Sun Club where set to play.
A tweet from Goodnight Records reads: "Friends, so sorry but our cmj show @thegutter is canceled because of unforseen circumstances. @TheBigSleepNYC @heavenbandNYC @sunclubband"
