Proving once again that there are lies, damn lies and hip-hop release dates, Nicki Minaj has pushed back the release of her third studio album until 15 December.
Minaj's The Pinkprint was originally intended to be released on 24 November, but has now been postponed. To keep fans happy, Minaj new single 'Only' featuring Chris Brown, Drake and Little Wayne is set for release today (28 October). It features artwork that, for some unknown reason, has Drake dressed like the Pope (which may be a reference to the papal doppelganger who walked Minaj down the Grammys red carpet in 2012).
Minaj recently told Capital FM Xtra about her admiration for Drake. "I'm a massive fan of [Drake], that's my baby," Minaj said, saying she wanted to "get some stuff crack-a-ling in the studio."
The video for 'Anaconda', the lead single from The Pinkprint, has now been watched over 272 million times on Youtube. Minaj recently explained to GQ that the explicit posterior-preoccupied video was simply "about what girls do".
