Foals have revealed they are not taking part in Band Aid 30, and their addition to the lineup was a mistake.
A string of popular artists look set to take part in the 30th anniversary re-recording of 'Do They Know It's Christmas', however other studio commitments mean the band themselves can't get involved, with the group never actually agreeing to take part in the single in the first place.
A spokesperson for Band Aid confirmed that Foals were never originally meant to be part of the lineup, explaining: "With a project such as Band Aid there are lots of conversations going on at any one point, and whoever was presented with Foals' name was inaccurately informed as conversations with the group were in their infancy."
"We would have liked them to be present because they're a great band, but it wasn't logistically possible. They told us that regrettably they aren't able to participate."

Despite Foals' absence, the likes of Chris Martin, Adele, Bono, Elbow, Jessie Ware, Sam Smith, One Direction and a wealth of other stars will be heading to London's Sarm Studios on Saturday (13 November) to record the single, with all proceeds from the charity release going towards the fight on Ebola.
