The Rolling Stones' frontman Mick Jagger is said to be 'deeply upset' after medical information regarding his wellbeing following the death of girlfriend L'Wren Scott was revealed.
The information came to light after a dispute in court with insurers over a $12.7million claim following concerts postponed after Scott's tragic suicide earlier this year.
During the case, it was revealed that Jagger was suffering from "acute traumatic stress disorder" - something which he claims was done without his permission.
"We are deeply upset that confidential medical and other private information about members of the band and their immediate family and loved ones has entered the public domain as a result of a US court filing initiated by insurers four weeks ago," a spokesman told BBC News. "This was done without the knowledge of the band or reference to their legal representatives."
They added: "This has only been discovered and reported in the press in the last week, by which time we are pleased to say the insurers and the Rolling Stones had, in fact, settled the insurance claim."
Scott, the renowned model and fashion designer, was found dead in her apartment in New York in what is believed to be suicide on Monday 17 March, 2014.
Jagger said:
"I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me. I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received.
I will never forget her,
Mick"
