The Pop Group have announced their first studio album in 35 years, which has been produced, surprisingly, by Paul Epworth.
Formed in Bristol in 1979, the Pop Group released two albums in the two years they were together. They split in 1981, but a reunited line-up has been touring since 2010. Now theyre releasing an LP of new material - Citizen Zombie.

Epworth, who has recently produced music from Adele to Coldplay to Bruno Mars, is perhaps not the obvious choice for the experimental punk band, but frontman Mark Stewart is a big Epworth fan.
"He gave us the feedom to create and, with his help, destiny rides again for the Pop Group... Even I am shocked by the album, it really flips the script," said Stewart in a statement.
It seems the feeling is mutual, with Epworth quoted in The Guardian as saying, "The energy is still there, the ideas are still there, it still fizzes with a life that most young bands just don't have."
Citizen Zombie is released on 23 February via Freaks R Us.
