Ed Sheeran has promised fans 'arena sized acts' as support for his upcoming Wembley Stadium shows.
Set for three nights at the mammoth iconic venue next year (totalling a capacity greater than all of Glastonbury festival), the singer-songwriter was speaking at the innaugural BBC Music Awards last night - where he revealed there would be three acts supporting him each night, to create "a little mini-festival".
"I actually sorted the support acts before I'd even put (the tickets) on sale," he said. "I never want to play to someone else's crowd, I want my crowd to feel like they have a treat - I'm saying 'here's a wicked support act that you can watch, that you didn't know was going to be there'. It's more of a surprise."
Sheeran added: "I've got three acts every day, and they're all multi-platinum... They're all great, they're all really, really good. Some of them have played Wembley before. Most of them are arena [level]."
Ed Sheeran will play Wembley Stadium on 10, 11 and 12 July. Buy tickets safely and securely at Seatwave here.
