Tesco has confirmed its plans to jump wholeheartedly onto the bandwagon, and start selling vinyl from next week.
It's no secret that vinyl has been enjoying something of a revival in recent years, with the British Phonographic Industry announcing last year that annual UK record sales had passed the one-million mark - the first time this had happened since 1996.
Now, the supermarket chain Tesco has confirmed that it will start stocking vinyls, beginniing when Iron Maiden's The Book Of Souls goes on sale next week.

As Engadget reports, Tesco music buyer Michael Mulligan said of the decision, "In the last year we began selling record decks in our largest stores and initial sales are very encouraging so giving our customers some new vinyl to play on those decks seems like the logical next step."
Meanwhile, the UK Official Charts Company recently launched two vinyl-specific top 40s charts - one for albums and another for 7" and 12" singles.
