Beck has announced that he will be playing a Live At The Marquee date in Cork in Ireland this June, and fans are very excited. Full dates and ticket details are below.
Beck has had a wonderful year so far, being awarded Album Of The Year at the 2015 Grammys for his 12th studio album Morning Phase - now infamously beating Beyonce to the title, much to the dismay of Kanye West. Fans have been waiting for a chance to see Beck live since his triumph, and this could be it.
He is set to perform a Live At The Marquee gig - a Irish festival which consists of a selection of separate events at different venues throughout Cork, each headlined by a different artist, and each with their own ticket prices. Live At The Marquee gigs have played host to a range of huge artists over the years, including Diana Ross, Bob Dylan, Elton John, Jay-Z and Lou Reed.
Now we only hope that UK dates follow. Anyone who catches him live is in for one hell of a show - we dubbed him one of the best gigs of 2014.
"Anyone who's seen Beck live this year will struggle to forget the encore at the end of a mind-melting carnival of song," we wrote. "As the entire band find themselves in a fight to the death during the melt-down at the end of 'E-Pro', Beck cordons off the stage with police tape. "What kind of laws do you wanna defy?" they ask before returning for the encore's first track of genre-defying, hedonism anthem 'Sexx Laws'. Good question. Beck follows no rules, nor do his fans."
Beck is set to perform on 16 June, and tickets go on sale 10am Friday 6 March. For tickets and more information, visit here.
