The only cafe in the park playing host to Radio 1's Big Weekend has been told to close during the event.

Taylor Swift, Florence + the Machine, Years & Years, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Context are amongst the acts announced so far for the annual festival, which takes place in a different city each year. This year's host city is Norwich.

Over 10,000 people have now shared a Facebook status update from Earlham Park Cafe Norwich, in which the owner speaks of their concerns that traders from outside of the area will be welcome, but as a local cafe they have been asked to close.

The Facebook post begins: "The radio 1 big weekend, this event was meant to be great for the local NORWICH economy and small local businesses and hotels, it seems to be ok for traders from far and wide to come and open bar's etc..... For this event, but the one and only small business that trades from Earlham park which is Earlham park cafe' and relies on this for its families lively hood and trades there 52 weeks of the year and is a service to the local community has now BEEN TOLD IT MUST CLOSE DOWN!"

Around 50,000 people are expected to attend for the event in May, which is a Bank Holiday and usually a busy trading time for the cafe. One customer started an online petition for the cafe, which gained 5,000 signatures in hours.
