Frank Ocean has legally changed his birth name to his stage name 'Frank Ocean'.
Ocean, who was originally born Christopher Edwin Breaux, had originally filed legal documents over a year ago but the process was delayed due to some driver's license issues. On Thursday however, TMZ confirmed that the 'Swim Good' singer had his name change approved by an LA judge.
Frank Ocean recently announced he will be releasing the follow-up to 2012's Channel Orange in July. The acclaimed R&B star revealed the news on Tumblr with the phrase "I got two versions", three hashtags and no confirmed tracklisting.
According to reports, Ocean has been in the studio with Hit-Boy, Rodney Jerkins and many more. The only hint as to the new direction the album is heading in could be comes in the form of 'Memrise' a track that Ocean released in December.
