Yes, Deadmau5 Joel Zimmerman is back - and this time he has been targetting audiences who insist on having their phones out during gigs.
The infamously temperamental defender of etiquette Deadmau5 cut a set at Mansion club in Miami short after the audience refused to pocket their phones. A gig that took place on New Year's Eve, it placed the V.I.P. section right at the front next to Deadmau5 with what he reffered to as 'the fans' pushed all the way to the back. In order to vent his rage against proceedings he posted on Instagram and Twitter:
Lol at the entire front row glued to their fucking phones. Much party. Many text. Wow

Zimmerman also followed up on the experience by posting on the subscription based part of his website, writing: "I fucking reamed out my agent for making me deal with that... Putting fans in the back and trust fund kids up front is fucking stupid as fuck... won't be playing any more Miami club... I'd rather rent a venue / parking lot / beachfront and fuckin' do it right."
However, he did look on the bright side of the whole thing, heading to the back of the club to see his fans: "Woohoo! Got to meet all my fans at the back of the club!!! So worth it now :) thanks guys!"
