Spotify have revealed the top 5 artists who benefitted from a post-Glastonbury streaming boom.
First up is Ed Sheeran, who gained a whopping 195% rise in streams since the weekend. He is followed by Saturday and Friday headliners Metallica and Arcade Fire, who rose 165% and 148% respectively. Rodrigo y Gabriela gained a boost of 123% and lastly Dolly Parton the big hit of the weekend came in last place with a 95% increase.

This week marks the beginning of streams from Deezer, Spotify and Napster, counting towards the official chart rankings. While it is yet to be seen how the artists who performed benefitted from the weekend, Metallica have already seen a boost with the Black Album climbing from No. 195 to No. 49 at the weekend.
