In a weekend that saw Prince headline Essence Festival and collaborate with Nile Rodgers to cover Bowie's 'Let's Dance', the Purple One also found himself in hot water with R&B singer Lil Mo.
As Complex reports, Lil Mo grew disgruntled when attempting to go to the bathroom backstage at the New Orleans festival when police and security prevented her from doing so and 'pushed her in the stomach' as Prince was about to make his entrance.
Lil Mo took to Instagram to post "Erbody think they not human" and, in a since-deleted post, threatened to fight His Royal Badness. She then sent another post, accusing Prince of not hitting the high notes during his performance:

Prince is currently gearing up to release two new albums - Plectrum Electrum with 3RDEYEGIRL and an as-yet untitled solo album. Not only that, but a 30th anniversary edition of the seminal Purple Rain is also due this year.
