Frightened Rabbit have been forced to pull out their upcoming headline slot at Northern Ireland's Stendhal Festival, as it looks like they may have been double booked - festival promoters claim.
The Scottish Pedestrian Verse rockers were due to top the bill at the fourth edition of Stendhal Festival, which takes place in the Roe Valley, Northern Ireland, on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th August 2014.
Organisers have now issued the following statement:
"It is with much disappointment that Stendhal Festival of Art must announce that Frightened Rabbit have had to cancel their headlining spot at this year's event.
"They had confirmed to play, as announced by ourselves and also by the band on various social media and online platforms, however they had already been booked by their representatives for the same date elsewhere, which only become apparent to us recently.
"Nobody is more disappointed that this issue could not be resolved than the team at Stendhal, however this will not deter us from continuing with our plans for the summer and we are determined to make this the best Stendhal ever.
"We plan on announcing a replacement act in the coming weeks as and with just over five weeks to go our attention is now on our beautiful festival site, which looks amazing, along with the 500+ artisans en route to deliver the Best small to medium festival experience on the island."
The rest of the line-up at Stendhal Festival features The Undertones, Paddy Casey, Bronagh Gallagher, Duke Special (DJ Set), Making Monsters, Troublesome Bucks, The Henry Girls and many more.
Meanwhile, Frightened Rabbit are still confirmed to play Kendal Calling, LeeFest, Belladrum Tartan Heart, Wakestock, Party At The Palace and more. For more information, visit Gigwise Tickets.
