The Cure have recorded a cover of Beatles track 'Hello Goodbye', premiered earlier today on The Guardian, listen below.
The unexpected reworking comes as part of a gargantuan tribute album to Sir Paul McCartney's musical legacy, consisting of 34 covers from different high profile artists and set for release in November.
Bob Dylan, Barry Gibb, Kiss, BB King and other high-profile artists will appear on the record covering tracks from across McCartney's illustrious career, from The Beatles to Wings via his solo material.
Reinventing the classic track in their own image without detracting from the joyous feel of the original, The Cure's version of 'Hello Goodbye' is perfectly on point, choosing to keep things basic and upbeat.

The huge tribute album will be available in a variety of formats, from a classic two-CD box set through to a collection which reportedly includes a USB stick shaped like a Hofner Violin Bass which includes FLAC files of all the tracks.
