Sacred Bones Records will release a deluxe CD reissue of David Lynch's directorial debut Eraserhead on 16 September.
Released in 1977, Eraserhead is one of the first trips into David Lynch's fascinating and frequently frightening mind. Shot in black-and-white and full of hallucinations, deformed children and surrealist dreams, it achieved cult status as a midnight movie.
So it's no wonder Sacred Bones Records have decided to reissue the film's soundtrack. In 2012 they released 1,500 vinyl copies, which quickly sold out
The fully remastered soundtrack is now getting a full release, so you too can appreciate the dark ambient soundtscapes, organ music by Fats Waller and the song 'In Heaven', written for the film by Peter Rivers.
